Welcome from the Executive Headteacher

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Welcome to The Ivy House Girls School.

The Ivy House was founded to provide a world-class Islamic education for girls, empowering Muslim women to thrive in an environment where faith, scholarship, and character are woven together. Our approach, developed over more than twenty years by Gardens of Jannah Trust, is rooted in the Islamic worldview, recognizing Allah as the source of all truth. We teach that knowledge is an amanah to be pursued with sincerity, intellectual rigor, and moral responsibility.

Our ambitious Ivy House School curriculum integrates Islamic thought and the teachings of the Qur’an across various subjects, including mathematics, science, literature, languages, and the humanities. Alongside academic excellence, our pupils develop spiritual depth, emotional intelligence, financial literacy, and the wisdom necessary for thoughtful and responsible decision-making. Courses in Arabic, Qur’an, and Islamic Studies provide a strong foundation in faith, helping each pupil build a meaningful relationship with Allah.

We are dedicated to nurturing confident, compassionate, and principled young women who aspire to serve the Ummah and broader society. With exceptional teaching, leadership opportunities, enriching experiences, and international partnerships—such as our collaboration with Umm Al Qura University and Iqra Arabia—we prepare pupils to pursue the highest levels of achievement.

Whether our pupils choose to become doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, or community leaders, our aim is for them to leave The Ivy House empowered, knowing who they are, why they are here, and how they can use their gifts in service to others. We are honored that you are considering The Ivy House Girls School and look forward to partnering with you to nurture the next generation of faithful, knowledgeable, and purposeful Muslim women.

Wassalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

A Welcome from Our International Education Partners

In Partnership with Umm Al Qura University Makkah

Annual residential in Makkah campus

In partnership with Umm Al-Qura University, Iqra Arabia, and Gardens of Jannah Trust, our Masar Makkah programme empowers Muslim women by enhancing Qur’an and Arabic provision through curriculum development, teacher training, and immersive language learning. Each year, selected students participate in an annual residential at the Umm Al-Qura University campus, where they engage in intensive Arabic study, aligning with the Ivy House School curriculum, and forge a unique connection to the language of the Qur’an while promoting Islamic education for girls.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education.

Core Vision

Ivy House Girls School is an Islamic secondary school dedicated to empowering Muslim women by nurturing their development of a deep and meaningful relationship with Allah. The school instills a strong sense of purpose along with the knowledge, character, and confidence required to lead lives of benefit and service.

Rooted in the Islamic worldview and guided by revelation and rigorous scholarship, Ivy House recognizes that Islamic education for girls goes beyond mere memorization of facts or the accumulation of information. True knowledge is one that deepens understanding, cultivates wisdom, and enables pupils to apply what they learn in a meaningful way in the real world.

Through a broad and carefully sequenced Ivy House School curriculum, pupils learn to think critically and independently, connect ideas across disciplines, and develop a coherent understanding of themselves, the world around them, and their responsibilities within it. The school prepares its pupils to apply their knowledge with wisdom and integrity, addressing the challenges facing the world and serving the Ummah and humanity as ethical leaders, innovators, and compassionate stewards of the earth, all while seeking the pleasure of Allah.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“And We have not sent you except as a mercy to all the worlds.”

(Qur’an 21:107)

Inspired by this divine mandate, Ivy House’s core belief revolves around four treasures: Faith, Knowledge, Character, and Purpose. Through this foundation, Muslim women equipped with knowledge, talents, and character, insha’Allah, will go on to benefit the Ummah and the wider human family, embodying the Prophetic example of mercy, justice, and service to all creation.
