Welcome from the Principal
Assalāmu ʿAlaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to The Ivy House Girls School.
The Ivy House was founded with a clear and ambitious vision: to provide a world-class education for young Muslim women in which faith, character and scholarship are woven together to nurture lives of purpose, excellence and service.
For more than twenty years, through the work of Gardens of Jannah Trust, we have researched, developed and refined an educational model rooted in the Islamic worldview. This model recognises Allah as the source of all truth and understands knowledge as an amānah — a trust to be pursued with sincerity, intellectual rigour and moral responsibility.
At The Ivy House, education is not simply the memorisation of facts or preparation for examinations. It is the cultivation of understanding, wisdom and sound judgement. We want every pupil to develop a deep relationship with Allah, to think critically and independently, and to acquire the confidence and competence to contribute positively to society.
Our curriculum is broad, ambitious and carefully sequenced. Pupils study the sciences, mathematics, literature, languages, technology, history and the humanities to a high academic standard. Alongside this, Arabic, Qur’an and Islamic studies strengthen spiritual development and help pupils connect knowledge to meaning and purpose.
Character formation lies at the heart of our work. Through daily worship, reflection, service and leadership opportunities, pupils cultivate resilience, compassion, integrity, humility and a commitment to justice. Inspired by the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and informed by scholars such as Imam Al-Ghazali, we aim to nurture hearts as well as minds.
We are equally ambitious for our pupils’ futures. Whether they aspire to become doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, academics or community leaders, we provide the knowledge, experiences and guidance needed to pursue the highest levels of achievement. Our careers programme, enrichment opportunities and international partnerships — including links with Umm Al-Qura University — broaden horizons and raise aspirations.
Above all, we want every young woman who leaves The Ivy House to know who she is, why she is here, and how she can use her gifts in the service of the Ummah and the wider human family.
Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. We are honoured that you are considering The Ivy House Girls School and look forward to partnering with you in nurturing the next generation of principled, confident and compassionate Muslim women.
Wa-salāmu ʿAlaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,

The Ivy House Girls School is an Islamic secondary school dedicated to nurturing young Muslim women and helping them to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with Allah, a strong sense of purpose, and the knowledge, character and confidence to lead lives of benefit and service.
Rooted in the Islamic worldview and guided by revelation and rigorous scholarship, the school believes that education is far more than the memorisation of facts or the accumulation of information. True knowledge is knowledge that deepens understanding, cultivates wisdom and enables pupils to apply what they learn meaningfully in the real world. Through a broad and carefully sequenced curriculum, pupils learn to think critically and independently, connect ideas across disciplines, and gain a coherent understanding of themselves, the world around them and their responsibilities within it.
The school equips its pupils to apply their knowledge with wisdom and integrity to address the challenges facing the world and to serve the Ummah and humanity as ethical leaders, innovators and compassionate stewards of the earth, seeking the pleasure of Allah.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“And We have not sent you except as a mercy to all the worlds.”
(Qur’an 21:107)
Inspired by this divine mandate, The Ivy House Girls School seeks to nurture young Muslim women who use their knowledge, talents and character to benefit the Ummah and the wider human family, embodying the Prophetic example of mercy, justice and service to all creation.

The educational philosophy of The Ivy House is rooted in the following enduring principles:
